"Palo Santo" translates to "holy wood," it is yet another form of smoke cleansing. Light one end of the stick, then let burn for 30 seconds to a minute before blowing it out (it can sometimes help to hold it at a -45º angle so the fire secures its place on the stick). Waft the smoke around whatever place needs cleansing, snuff when done.
